Before the band takes the stage, DJ Dav will kick things off with an opening set to get the crowd warmed up and ready to dance along the Grand River.

Starfarm doesn’t just play the music — they bring the entire decade back to life with:

Mayor’s River Walk & Run

Join Mayor Andy Schor and the Lansing community for a fun and scenic 5K run/walk along the Lansing River Trail. Starting at Potter Park, this event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages for a morning of movement, fresh air, and community connection.

The course features fun activity stations along the way—perfect for keeping kids engaged and making the experience even more enjoyable for families.

Every participant receives a t-shirt, finisher medal, and snacks at the finish line. Competitive runners will also receive matching socks and have the chance to earn prizes for top finishes in each age group, with professional timing by the Michigan Running Foundation and live results during the race.

Early packet pickup is available June 10–11 from 3–6 PM at the Foster Center, with race day pickup beginning at 8:00 AM at Potter Park.

Proceeds and donations from the event support the Friends of the Lansing Regional Trails, helping maintain and grow the trail system for the community.

Join the Lansing Free Yoga Project for free outdoor yoga classes along the riverfront at Fish Ladder Music Park. Designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all, these classes offer a chance to relax, move, and reset in one of Lansing’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.

Set in the unique “bowl” of the Fish Ladder, participants can practice on stage for a more immersive experience or spread out along the surrounding areas. With professional sound and the natural rhythm of the river flowing nearby, each class creates a peaceful and energizing atmosphere.

No mat? No problem. Free loaner mats are available, making it easy for anyone to join.

This series runs throughout the summer with rotating instructors and special themed sessions, offering a fresh and meaningful experience each time.

Join us for a powerful evening of music with The Flint Southernaires and AWD Band!

The Flint Southernaires will commemorate their 60th anniversary in 2026, marking six decades dedicated to gospel music.

Established in the late 1960s by Mississippi natives brought together through the Great Migration and employment at Flint’s General Motors plants, the group is recognized for its blend of traditional and contemporary gospel styles. Their repertoire includes renowned classics such as "Stand By Me" and "You Must Be Born Again." Their latest release, “Blessings Is On The Way," features a modern and uplifting musical approach.

AWD Band is a Lansing-based Smooth Jazz and R&B group known for delivering rich, soul-calming music with a polished and professional sound. Together, this lineup brings a unique blend of gospel, jazz, and rhythm to the riverfront.

BMRW Promotions, based in Lansing, MI, produces live music events, specializing in the annual "An Evening of Smooth Jazz" series. They promote national and local jazz artists, including 496 West, to educate and entertain audiences in the Michigan community. They also offer live entertainment for private events, weddings, and corporate gatherings.

All ages are welcome!

Join the community for the 24th Annual Twilight Run, a fun and scenic evening race through downtown Lansing. This midweek 5K follows an accurate out-and-back course along the Lansing River Trail, offering a great mix of competition and relaxed summer vibes.

Participants will receive chip-timed results with live updates and text notifications, along with age group placements throughout the race. Awards will be given to the top finishers across multiple age groups, with overall and masters winners receiving additional prizes.

Race day packet pickup begins at 5:30 PM near the start/finish area, with awards available starting at 7:30 PM.

Proceeds from the event support high school and middle school cross country and track programs, as well as youth running clubs through the Michigan Running Foundation.

Grab your friends and make a night of it—this is a Lansing summer tradition you won’t want to miss.

This free, all-ages event features a dynamic lineup of artists representing musical traditions from around the world. From Sicilian and Italian folk to African rhythms, Indian fusion, Cajun blues, and Macedonian sounds, this is a unique opportunity to experience a wide range of global music in one place.

Enjoy performances from Carrie Grignano and Genot Picor, Mighty Medicine, Chris Freeman and Mike List, Double Crossed, and John Pogoncheff’s Red Bell Peppers, each bringing their own style to the stage. Fête de la Musique is presented by the Capital Region Community Foundation.

Breaking Barriers Day is a celebration of creativity, community, and connection!

The Breaking Barriers Art Exhibit invites the community to Lansing Shuffle for an inspiring opening reception featuring artwork by artists with developmental disabilities from across Michigan. This exhibit highlights the creativity, talent, and unique perspectives of artists whose voices are too often overlooked.

Designed as a welcoming and inclusive space, the exhibit encourages visitors to explore the artwork, connect with artists, and engage in activities that celebrate the disability community. Guests can enjoy interactive experiences, resource booths, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the event.

Following the reception, attendees are invited to continue the experience across the street at Jackson Field for a sensory-friendly Lansing Lugnuts game. The ballpark environment will be adapted to support fans with sensory sensitivities, including reduced announcements, lower volume levels, and a more relaxed game-day atmosphere—creating an accessible and enjoyable experience for all.

Breaking Barriers Day is about bringing people together in a meaningful way—celebrating creativity, building community, and creating space for every voice.

As part of Lansing Pride weekend, the Lansing Free Yoga Project invites the community to a free, beginner-friendly yoga class led by instructor Michael Richter. Held in the unique “bowl” at Fish Ladder Music Park along the Grand River, this class offers a peaceful and energizing way to begin the day.

Designed for all experience levels, the session focuses on waking up the body and mind, reducing stress, and creating a positive start to the day. Participants will experience a blend of immersive, concert-level audio alongside the natural sounds of the river, creating a calming and memorable outdoor setting.

This class is part of Lansing Free Yoga Project’s mission to provide inclusive, accessible, and meaningful yoga experiences for the community.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or just showing up to support a meaningful cause, this race is all about coming together and giving back. Proceeds from the event support vital community programs, including the Community Kitchen, Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and other basic needs services for those in vulnerable situations.

Participants can expect a professionally timed race with live results, a beautiful riverfront course, and a supportive, energetic atmosphere from start to finish.

Packet pickup is available the day before the race and the morning of the event, so you can arrive ready to go and focus on enjoying the experience.

Ready, set, run!

This spring race is all about fun, community, and welcoming every pace. Whether participants are chasing a personal best or just showing up for a good time, this event brings together runners, families, and friends for an encouraging and inclusive experience.

The morning kicks off with packet pickup from 6:30–7:45 AM, followed by the Kids Dash at 7:55 AM. The National Anthem leads into the official race start at 8:00 AM. Results and awards are available live at the registration tent immediately after finishing.

Each registration includes a designer shirt, custom medal, chip-timing with live results, free race photos, and even free donuts at the finish line. From start to finish, it’s designed to be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

With multiple race options including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and 1 Mile, there’s something for every level. The Kids Dash offers a fun, untimed run for children 10 and under, complete with their own bib, shirt, and medal.

Youth pricing is available for participants 12 and under, making it an affordable way for families to get involved. Be sure to register early to guarantee race swag.
