Cap City Breaking Jam – Year 5
Presented by All of the Above Hip Hop Academy and supported by Capital City Market Meijer, Arts Council of Lansing, Courtyard Marriott, Choose Lansing, LAFCU, City of Lansing, Ingham County, and Lansing Public Media Center.

Cap City Breaking Jam returns to Downtown Lansing for its fifth year, bringing dancers and breakers from across the country to Lansing Shuffle for a full day of competition, music, workshops, and hip-hop culture.

This free event features tournament-style Youth 1v1 and Adult 2v2 breaking competitions, with more than $4,000 in cash prizes on the line.

The day kicks off with an all-ages workshop at 11 AM, followed by the Youth 1v1 battles at 1 PM and Adult 2v2 battles beginning at 4 PM. DJs, MCs and special guest judges will keep the energy going throughout the day.

Cash Prizes
Adult 2v2: $2,500 First Place / $1,000 Second Place
Youth 1v1: $500 First Place / $150 Second Place

Food and beverages will be available from Lansing Shuffle vendors throughout the event. All ages welcome.
